I am with you 100% w/ Manly. I totally wanted to be Laura Ingalls. I agree too w/ Ronald Weasly…the main person that you forgot was Mr Darcy!! How could you NOT 100% love Mr Darcy??

Some good choices here – Almanzo Wilder in The Long Winter, in particular. I get all choked up when I teach that book, contemplating how he and Cap Garland saved the town. And Daniel Cleaver – absolutely.

Ron Weasley, though! I just don’t see it. Can’t stand him. (Hermione could so do better.)

So with you on Shep and Gilbert! My read of choice is a good old fashioned, paperback cop/detective novel. I always fall for the down-on-his-luck but with-a-heart-of-gold main characters. Sigh. Swoon.
