My kid is never cold. The kid is always warm.

And the climbing thing, well that’s where Angry Toddler earned his first nickname, “Baby Evil”. Because the kid could get into anything…

I obsess about temperature almost as much as I obsess about sleep issues. I always assume she feels exactly as hot or cold as I feel. Which is wrong of course. But I don’t know how else to gauge it without poking at her all night long, which seems like it might really piss her off.

I can usually tell pretty easily with mine. If they’re too hot, they positively radiate heat. If they’re cold, they’re shoving icy little feet under my legs.

I loved the Halo sleepsacks too.

I’m sure that Braden thinks his name is, “No, no, Braden!” since we’ve been saying that to him since he was about 7months old.

Oh, and are you kidding me? You are leaps and bounds cooler than I, chick.

I usually base my “clothing” decisions for Braden on how I feel, then check on him. If his hands/feet seem too cold, I adjust (add socks or something)….

I never know about the hot/cold issue, either. In the winter I usually opt to overdress my toddler because I figure if he’s too hot, he’ll kick the blanket off and then be just right, but I dunno.

I like blanket sleepers since they don’t keep blankets on at this age and I keep the house 68-70 degrees. That worked for mine. I like their feet covered when it’s cold because I feel terrible when I would get them out of bed in the morning and their feet would be cold. I know how much I hate my feet to be cold.

Oh, and the hot/cold thing…..just dress him like you’d do yourself, maybe an extra undershirt, and he’ll let you know if he’s uncomfortable!

The day the boy turned 6 months old he climbed face first into his sister’s wading pool. He’s been climbing up and down stairs for months. He opens the drawer under the stove and climbs in. In boxes. On boxes. Stands on top of his push car to reach the table…..

Climber in the making??? Good luck!

My kids would always get a slight fever after shots. Other than that I have always been a freak about their temperature…actually I still am. I am known to still go tuck my kids in before I go to bed. My husband thinks I’m crazy and that our 8 year old can pull his blankets up on his own if he’s cold!!!
