I am a sign person as well. I also do the "Exact" time thing. My son passed away in 2003 and for the longest time, I paid attention almost every day to the time when he died.

I also called him my little bug and we had a lady bug engraved on his headstone. A few years ago on his birthday when I was VERY blue and it was the same time of day that he passed away, I went outside and there were hundreds and hundreds of lady bugs on the porch. I've never seen anything like it.

It made me smile.

I think signs are good it is okay to look for them. Sometimes we need all the help we can get to find peace.

That's really beautiful! Lilacs are one of my favorites. They also remind me of my grandmother as she carried them in her wedding bouquet. Because of that, I carried them in my wedding bouquet, too. :)

I need parenting advice BADLY on my blog today. If you get a chance, please check it out!

When Max was born it really hit me that I wished my grandma, who had died in 2000, could know about him. About a year later, I suddenly just had this sensation that she was there, and that she knew, and was really happy for me. No signs, but it was enough.

Brad's grandma died two days ago. It wasn't unexpected, she was 92 years old and had had a massive stroke. Brad and I decided we'd name the baby after her (middle name), but it was kind of a rushed conversation. I assumed he called her right after to let her know. The next day we got the new she'd died, and Brad admitted he'd neglected to tell her. I was really upset. Then he reminded me that she'd know soon enough. I was surprised to hear such talk coming from him!
