It’s definitely been interesting watching this election process. There’s also supposed to be a youtube tool that lets you search the debates by keyword (only caught the last pres debate in full). Think I’ll try that & do a little last-minute fact-gathering before voting time, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be headed for Obama.

I agree more with the Dems on economic theory, which is obviously a huge decision point right now. I also think the professor-style attitude will be a big help in the diplomatic / international context.

A big part of it, though, is the part of me that somehow escaped the cynicism of a political science degree and law school and is daring to hope that some of his optimism may actually affect the country. We’ll see.

I’m glad you took the time to do your research. I’m a Democrat but there was a point in time that McCain looked like the lesser of all evils. I was an HRC supporter but now I’m fully behind Obama…once I took the time to really listen, I was impressed.

Palin’s voice makes my ears bleed.

Glad you are choosing to redeem yourself from the 04 election. My husband screwed up in 00 and 04. I’m still married to the man. I’m just glad, like you, he’s got it figured out for 08. It’s nice to hear from you again (other than football – of which I know nothing about).

Can I just say I’m at least glad that you did your homework to form your own opinion? At least you didn’t make the pick based on the same way you picked last week’s NFL teams.

That is my biggest fear about this upcoming election. The idea that people will form their opinions by the rants of people on their blogs or websites, without doing their homework, is frightening.

Well, there was a time where I would have voted for John McCain over the democratic nominee, but this Arizona resident doesn’t want that man anywhere near the White House anymore. I don’t know if something has happened to him or if he was always this sleazy and covered it up well.

I think he’ll be surprised at his numbers in AZ. I’m quite certain he’ll still take this state, but not by total landslide he thinks he has it by (we are seeing more and more Obama ads, too).

(but hey, this is the same state that keeps a wacky sheriff in power, so who knows?)

And Palin, oooh don’t get me started on her. I tried to see the good in her for about two weeks, but then, like Mr. Lady, my brain started to leak out of my ears and I decided to get my news on about her from Tina Fey.

I love you so much that I’m commenting from the iPhone which is not easy to do. I respect your thought process and hope that a few million more registered repubs feel the same way.
