This motherhood thing … no one ever told me it was the little things that would get my attention … feeling overwhelmed at getting a social security card that I was responsible for … when a baby actually slept like … a baby … that Alex starting to wave would make me so excited (oh yeah, Alex started waving over the weekend … towards himself, but I think it counts.)
I knew that choosing to nurse would involve, at some point, choosing to not nurse anymore … I’m grateful that someone could so beautifully show me the way that will come someday … and for making me cry … I give Amanda, at Tumble Dry, a Perfect Post Award for “Mama doesn’t have anymore, baby“.
For the rest of the January Perfect Post Awards, head over to Suburban Turmoil and Petroville.

A day that starts like this is bound to be special. Thank you so much. And, for he record, with the exception of a few sweet utterings of “Mowk,” as she has snuggled into my arms in the night, we have found peace. We both still carry the closeness and comfort we found in nursing.
