I love the hairstyle she suggested for you. Also, my suggestion for trying out the color idea in a no-risk sort of way is to pick up some John Frieda color glaze for red hair at the grocery store. It will give you an idea of what a demi-permanent glaze at the salon would look like, and it washes out in a couple of shampoos. If you like it, all you need to do is put it on after your conditioner every few days.
Go for the color! Do it! Do it! Do it! And if you can find someone who can actually visualize the cut as she explains it, do that, too! You will still be able to do the ponytail thing, so have at it, girl!
I didn’t know that was you 🙂
I had exactly the same hair back in college before I chopped it off. Yours is a little redder I think; I’ve got some blond streaks from the sun.
By the way, I voted for no color. Even though mine isn’t as red as I’d like it to be, it’s all mine. I like being able to claim it when I’m complimented!

I voted. I think the cut idea is FABULOUS (if you can get the stylist to actually DO what she is suggesting) and the color would look va-va-VOOM!

WAHOOO RED RED RED! you should totally do it.
P.S. You don’t have to have long ponytails to have baby/kid friendly hair. I did the opposite and went real short after having a baby.
