Officially, it was last week – as Mary Alice and Jen planned. And I was actually working on it. Last week. On Thursday.
It was even ON my calendar.
But I forgot it was Thursday.
You know, Mom brain.
So, now that it’s Thursday again …
I’ve learned how to knit hats, on circular needles. Alex has been sleeping on me for naps (still). I have a ton of old yarn that isn’t really enough to make anything with.
Except hats. So I started knitting baby sized hats. I found a local church who is making a donation on Sunday to help out people this winter who need winter wear. Today Alex and I will take hats to the church and drop them off.
Happy Philanthropy Thursday all y’all!

This is a really great idea and all of those hats look adorable!
What cool hats!! Well done.
I can knit blankets and scarves. Nothing complicated, like something needing circular needles.
I should learn, though…I have lots of extra yarn that won’t make anything big, like blankets and scarves…
Great idea!
Wow, I’m impressed! I can crochet…only straight lines and zig zags though.
For sure a feel good moment!
Those are fantastic. What a great way to give to your community. My neighbor and daughter are planning to teach me to knit. I have always wanted to learn and am not sure how I never managed before. My daughter’s God Mother taught her and now she is really good at it – though she got in trouble for knitting during Spanish class right before Christmas last year!
Those are incredibly cute! What a talent you have. Perhaps you should start a little business? (although I’m not sure how philanthropic that would be?)

Excellent! What adorable hats! And thanks for keeping Philanthropy Thursday rolling
That’s awesome! Adorable hats and such a great thing to do with them.
Look at all those cute little hats – aren’t you talented!! Have a good day.
Hey, we both wrote about philanthropy! Funny.
Those hats are adorable. That is a great thing you are doing! You could probably make little scarves, too. How freaking cute would that be??
Aaaaw! They’re so adorable! Good job!
Those are great! I knit for anything, but I can crochet. (Is that how I spell it?)
I love them! We were given a crocheted hat that a volunteer made when Jalyn was born and it made all the difference in her first photos. Great idea!

Those hats are adorable…I can sew buttons…that is the extent of my fabric talent

Those are just darling!
You make me want to think of more ways to give to others.
That means you rock.
PS: The hats are definitely cute, but my favorite part of the picture is the feets.
Great hats! I tried to learn to knit and I would get to the end of a row and every time I would have this huge loop of yarn hanging there. My friend Jill finally just gave up trying to teach me. How I envy your talent.
I can crochet! One, long, string. I call them my crocheted snakes. Hee, hee, hee…

You write it, I read it!
Whoa, you need to slow down! You?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re knitting so fast you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll get a speeding ticket. Dang, you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re like a spider!
WOW!! Very cool. You are very talented! (Says one who second’s Bradley’s sewing skills.)
